The
Flora Macdonald Hostel and Lodge stands in magnificent surroundings
at Kilmore in the south end of the Isle of Skye approximately
2.5 miles north of Armadale Pier on the A851 (click
here for a map). It is situated on its own at the foot of
the hills, 5 minutes away from the Sea and has a private car park
as well as free transport to and from the ferry.

The
Hostel
The Hostel
has just recently been upgraded and reclassified to 2 Star,
and has full central heating. It provides accommodation for
20 persons, with solid pine bunks. It is fully equipped with
a modern kitchen with all accessories, a drying room with washing
machine and tumble dryer. The hostel also has a conservatory
for relaxation. The cost per person is £9 with discounts
for group bookings.

The
Lodge
The lodge
is situated alongside the Hostel and caters for families and
smaller groups who seek more privacy. It has a kitchen, bathroom
and three bedrooms with occupancy of 4,4 and 5 respectively.
Each room has colour TV and pine bunk beds with all bedding
provided. Prices range from £25 to £53 per room
per night. The entire lodge can be hired for £130 per
night / £860 per week.

overlooking the Minch towards the Scottish mainland and Knoydart.

The
Location
The
Sleat peninsula is known as the Garden of Skye and renowned for
its magnificent grandeur. It is a haven for geology students and
offers a variety of wildlife, including golden and sea eagles,
red and roe deer, otters, foxes and other species too numerous
to mention.
Rare
Eriskey ponies are bred on the family croft.
